Amazon Expands Grocery Delivery to Non-Prime Members in Select Cities

UNITED STATES - It’s all coming up fresh for e-commerce behemoth Amazon. The retailer recently announced a strategic expansion, making its Amazon Fresh delivery service available to non-Amazon Prime members in a dozen United States cities including Austin, Texas; Denver, Colorado; Phoenix, Arizona; Sacramento, California; and more.

According to Markets Insider, shoppers in these 12 cities will now have access to Amazon Fresh delivery from stores and warehouses. For non-Prime members, a delivery fee will be applied based on the order’s value—with more expensive deliveries incurring a smaller fee.

The news source reported that the Vice President of Amazon Fresh, Claire Peters, stated that this expansion is just one of Amazon’s latest efforts to make grocery shopping easier, faster, and more affordable. Prime member or otherwise, the delivery window will continue to be two hours for all shoppers.

This expansion is expected to be complete nationwide by the end of the year, with plans to integrate Whole Foods Market stores in the future.

As this expansion continues to roll out, we at ANUK will keep an eye on Amazon.
