Bay Baby Produce Prepares Southern Exposure Showcase; Lindsey Lance Shares

MOUNT VERNON, WA - Almost as quickly as spring will arrive, so too will the Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure show. Taking place March 7–9, 2024, in Tampa, Florida, the event will host a variety of buyers and suppliers, including Bay Baby Produce (BBP), which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Lindsey Lance, Director of Marketing, Sales, Bay Baby Produce

“Our goals for SEPC 2024 include connecting with our current buyers and prospecting for new opportunities and partnerships,” says Director of Marketing, Sales Lindsey Lance. “We love sharing what we do at BBP with retailers and our produce colleagues. We also aim to continuously educate ourselves at the shows—whether attending the education classes or learning and making new connections on the show floor.”

The grower will be highlighting its Original Pumpkin Patch Pals, which is also celebrating its 25th birthday. Bay Baby will also have its new Retro-Kins displays as some favorites, including painted pumpkins, ornamental pumpkins, and organic winter squash.

For buyers and retailers, the BBP booth is a must-stop as the supplier’s lineup offers the opportunity to boost produce aisle traffic during one of the most prime merchandising periods of the year.

“Halloween is the second largest retail holiday, second only to Christmas!” details Lindsey. “Our products help give an extra boost in sales for produce and floral departments during the fall season. Our wide range of offerings can be catered to each retailer and their target market.”

Bay Baby will also be expanding its lineup as it is working on an Ornamental Pumpkin Seed Line in addition to an Organic Seed Line.

“Our idea is that we will be educating consumers on pumpkins and organic winter squash by giving them the opportunity to grow some of our favorites in their backyard,” explains Lindsey.
