EMERYVILLE, CA - The team at SCS Global Services is being bolstered with 25 years of food industry expertise as Denise Webster comes on board. The leader will take on the role of Vice President of Food Safety, overseeing key food safety programs.

Webster has garnered experience from across the food industry, including manufacturing, consumer product brands, and retail, a release stated. For the past eight years, she has served as the Owner and principal scientist for Food Brand Protection, where she focused on food safety, product commercialization, and regulatory compliance for major retailers like Whole Foods/Amazon, Raley’s, and more.

In addition to her industry roles, Webster is an Institute of Food Technologists Certified Food Scientist. She is also an approved trainer and consultant for Brand Reputation Compliance Global Standard and Safe Quality Food, a lead trainer for the FDA Food Safety Modernization Act, and an FDA and USDA regulatory labeling specialist.

The leader holds a B.S. degree in Food Science from Michigan State University and an M.S. in Food Science from the University of Urbana-Champaign. She currently serves as an Adjunct Professor of Food Science at Chapman University.
