Driver Escapes Rolled Onion Truck
PUKEKOHE, NZ - A load of onions met misfortune on a roadway when a truck and trailer carrying the tear-jerking treats rolled into a ditch on Friday.
Though there was no indication as to what caused the initial accident, emergency services were called to the scene following the crash. A public spokesperson stated, according to NZ Herald, that the “truck is on its roof and it’s leaking diesel.”
First responders initially thought the trapped driver to be critically injured, local fire spokesman Scott Osmund commented. However, Osmund later mentioned that after emergency crews freed the driver he was found to be in “moderate condition.”
The condition of the onions, however, remains unknown.
