Fowler Packing Vaccinates Nearly 900 Employees
FRESNO, CA - As our industry continues to take steps toward a more stable sense of normalcy in the time of COVID-19, many companies are prioritizing the health and safety of the workers who fortify their operations. This week, hundreds of dedicated employees received the COVID-19 vaccination thanks to Fowler Packing Company’s week-long Vaccine Event.
“Our employees have played a vital role in continuing the nation’s food supply throughout the pandemic, and we understand the immediate needs and challenges they have faced,” said CEO Justin Parnagian. “We are grateful for the opportunity to provide them free and accessible vaccines at this time.”
The company partnered with Community Medical Centers to launch the event, which resulted in the vaccination of nearly 900 employees, according to a press release. The event took place at Fowler Packing’s Fresno headquarters, and a follow-up event is scheduled to return for the second round of the vaccine at the end of the month.
Fowler Packing Company has launched other initiatives to tackle challenges posed by the pandemic, including food distribution, wellness and education outreach, and PPE distribution, in addition to modifying its facilities and departments to ensure social distancing and other preventative practices are met. The recent vaccination event comes as a monumental step for the company, as vaccine supply for farmworkers has been limited.
