FreshEdge's Indianapolis Fruit Company Bolsters Executive Team; Tony Mitchell Details
INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The leadership team at Indianapolis Fruit Company, a FreshEdge company, is getting a boost in experience. Recently, the supplier named Tony Mitchell—an industry veteran of more than three decades—as its Chief Revenue Officer and retail-focused executive Marc Jones as its Chief Operating Officer.
“I’m ecstatic to join the team at Indianapolis Fruit,” said Mitchell. “They are in a growth mode and are very well respected in the industry. I’m looking forward to bringing my produce experience and leadership skills to the team to help them continue their success in this competitive environment.”
Mitchell began working in fresh produce in 1992, a release stated, and he has held various leadership roles throughout his career. He garnered more than 30 years of experience working at family-owned distribution, national distribution, and import/export businesses.
In his new role, he will be working to grow and establish meaningful retail programs that add value to Indianapolis Fruit’s portfolio of products and services. Mitchell has experience with independent and chain retail distribution, which will accelerate the company’s growth and customer-centric support.
Jones previously spent nearly 20 years with Indianapolis Fruit, building his professional skill set. He will now rejoin the team with a focus on retail services, procurement, and business operations.
“Produce is where my passion is, and I’m excited to rejoin the Indianapolis Fruit team,” said Jones. “I’m looking forward to reconnecting with customers and old friends and driving their businesses forward.”
Most recently, Jones led fresh operations for a national distribution facility in Oklahoma City focused on fresh produce, floral, and perimeter departments.
“Tony and Marc have meaningful experience, fantastic relationships, and customer and market intimacy with Indianapolis Fruit’s business,” commented Daniel Corsaro, President of Indianapolis Fruit. “They will accentuate our team’s strengths and allow us to continue new market growth and customer support. The addition of Tony and Marc positions Indianapolis Fruit to continue with our best-in-class operation.”
Best wishes to both leaders as they step into these executive roles!
