H-E-B Opens Nutty Brown Store in Austin, Texas; Sarah Longoria Details
AUSTIN, TX - An iconic location in southwest Austin, Texas, is making even more history as H-E-B has opened its latest store at the site. Recently, the Texas-based retailer cut the ribbon on its Nutty Brown store, building on the location’s history dating back more than 70 years.
“This is a special store at an iconic site, and we are excited to preserve and showcase the history of such an important landmark as well as provide a unique shopping experience our loyal customers will be proud of for decades to come,” said Sarah Longoria, Nutty Brown H-E-B Top Store Leader.
The new 107,000-square-foot store incorporates building materials and showcases memorabilia from the iconic Nutty Brown Café & Amphitheatre, the original home to Nutty Brown Mills flour mill and candy shop. According to a release, throughout the store, H-E-B will incorporate materials such as red brick from the original brick oven used at Nutty Brown Café. The H-E-B design team also designed a tribute wall that serves as a beacon near the store’s entrance.
H-E-B’s latest location will keep the same emphasis on fresh, top-quality good options as its other stores. Some of the amenities will include:
- Produce section with large organic and Texas-grown selections and fresh-squeezed juices
- H-E-B Curbside and Home Delivery, allowing customers to shop online and pick up orders at the store or schedule delivery to their homes
- Wide selection of organic foods and expanded Healthy Living department
- Blooms floral area offering online ordering
