CHICAGO, IL - With table grapes remaining a top-performing category in the produce department, ensuring high quality and a great eating experience is a must to continue capturing sales. Luckily, Hazel Technologies has formed a new partnership with Illume Agriculture^®, who will optimize the company’s flagship technology throughout its 2021 table grape season to ensure the highest possible quality for its customers across the United States, Australia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan.

According to a press release, Illume’s trials with Hazel Tech garnered positive results including better overall quality and greener stems, as well as improved storage life under transit and warehouse conditions.

Following the impressive results, Illume has now invested in enough of Hazel 100 to protect millions of pounds of produce during the 2021 season.

“In 2020, we trialed Hazel 100 on some of our highest demand varieties like Sweet Globe^™ and AUTUMNCRISP®,” said Kevin Andrew, Senior Vice President, Table Grape Operations, at Illume Agriculture. “We saw truly promising results during our 2020 trial and decided Hazel was the right fit for a very large percentage of our table grapes. We look forward to incorporating Hazel into our operations this season.”
