LOS ANGELES, CA - The fresh produce industry creates and cultivates a certain type of professional: passionate, purposeful, and dynamic. Howard Nager is one of these people, bringing a versatile skill set ranging from business, commodity, and new product development to marketing, mentoring, and guiding today’s members toward personal and professional growth to his repertoire.

Most recently Progressive Produce’s Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Howard is now pursuing business opportunities and looking to establish the next step on his own professional journey.

“I decided it is time to explore what is next for my career and pursue other business opportunities,” Howard shared. “I have thoroughly enjoyed working with the talented team at Progressive and wish them great success. People are a big part of this business, and one of the most important elements in our success. I thank the Progressive team for the great experiences we have had together.”

Along with his time as Progressive’s Vice President of Business Development and Marketing, Howard simultaneously handled the responsibility of Citrus Commodity Manager.

Over the course of his career, Howard has worked in a number of high-profile positions, including Vice President of Business Development for Sun Pacific and top marketing roles at companies like Fresh Del Monte Produce, Sunsweet Growers, Maui Pineapple, and Superfresh^® Growers.

Howard has also served most recently on the Board of Directors for the Center for Growing Talent as well as having been a past Board member of the previously named Produce Marketing Association. In addition, Howard was a past Chairman of the Produce for Better Health Foundation.
