International Fresh Produce Association to Forecast 2022 Election Impact at The Washington Conference; Brian Kocher and Jackie Caplan Wiggins Share
WASHINGTON, DC - Two important events are right around the corner: The 2022 Midterm Elections and the International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Washington Conference. In preparation for both, the organization has announced that the conference will feature a 2022 Election Insights General Session Lunch that will present key information on the current political environment.
“There’s nothing more important than meeting with elected officials on Capitol Hill. It’s imperative that we, as an industry, share how their decisions in DC directly impact our daily operations and the vitality of our businesses,” said Brian Kocher, President and Chief Executive Officer of Calavo Growers. “Remember, our Congressional representatives are in office to represent us!”
The 2022 Election Insights General Session Lunch will feature Nathan Gonzales, Editor and Publisher of Inside Election with Nathan L. Gonzales, according to an email release.
Gonzales will share thought-provoking, non-partisan insights as well as a look at the latest races and projections and outcomes to help attendees understand why these elections pertain to them just weeks before Election Day.
“The Washington Conference provides a prime opportunity for all members of the fresh produce industry to learn from subject matter experts and other industry leaders on the most pressing public policy issues. Attendees are encouraged to contribute their own diverse perspectives and experiences during the meetings with members of Congress as personal stories matter,” added Jackie Caplan Wiggins, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Frieda’s Branded Produce. “I highly recommend this event for professionals of all experience levels and backgrounds. IFPA does an incredible job prepping attendees, whether it is their first time attending or their 25th!”
