Jacobs Farm del Cabo's Katie Bishop Shares Exclusive Insights Ahead of Organic Produce Summit
SANTA CRUZ, CA - Monterey, California, is the place to be come July 13–14, and I’m sure many of you already know why. As the Organic Produce Summit (OPS) draws in aces from across the industry, Jacobs Farm del Cabo will be in attendance to showcase its advantageous portfolio of offerings.
“Gathering in Monterey gives us the opportunity to remind our Bay Area friends of our local, organic herb offerings that can add depth to their local promotions this summer,” Katie Bishop, Marketing Coordinator, tells me. “We are proud long-time neighbors, and we are excited for another season of providing high-quality herbs to our local community.”
With a strong standing in the organic sector, Jacobs Farm del Cabo will be sharing the details of its long-standing healthy soil development as well as its founding mission to provide for small family farms in Baja, California.
“For us, the greatest benefit of OPS is the in-person conversation,” Katie points out. “The small exchanges on the exhibition floor, the stories shared, the connections formed—they remind us of the massive amount of manpower that keeps this industry running, and it leaves us better educated and more connected. Last year’s show was a bright light in a rather uncertain year, and to have this experience for the second year in a row is a true gift!”
In addition to meeting face-to-face with both new and long-term partners, Jacobs Farm del Cabo will also be highlighting its expanded sustainable packaging. This year, the company plans to expand its recyclable and compostable paperboard line to include Shishito peppers and Honey Bunch grape tomatoes, contributing to the 750,000-plus lbs already saved by this packaging innovation.
“The outpour of positive consumer response for our del Cabo paperboard has been one of the best parts of this year,” notes Katie. “We’ve received dozens of emails thanking us for this package. For many earth-loving customers, the del Cabo paperboard combines the ease and accessibility of grocery store shopping with the smaller footprint of a farmers’ market environment.”
This sales-driving packaging format will be on display at booth #801, demonstrating the key ways in which Jacobs Farm del Cabo is elevating its sustainability operations and its value among consumers.
“For 40 years now, we have been providing artisanal, quality produce thanks to our soil-based, smallholder farmer practices. Our products are a clear option for your health and flavor-conscious customer, and our recyclable and compostable paperboard packaging will give retailers an edge,” Katie concludes.
Excitement is abounding for this fast-approaching industry event, so stay tuned as we continue the countdown here at AndNowUKnow.
