L.G. Herndon Jr. Farms Partners With Gary Sinise Foundation for 2022 Vidalia® Onion Season; John Williams Discusses
LYONS, GA - Spring and summer Vidalia® onion promotions are prepared to kickoff as operators across the industry ramp up for these highly anticipated supplies. L.G. Herndon Jr. Farms is one purveyor revving its engine, announcing a promotional partnership with the Gary Sinise Foundation for the 2022 season. The onions will be represented by co-branded packaging during the partners’ Memorial Day Promotion, running May 16–30 and the July 4th Promotion, running June 20–July 4.
“We had been wanting to do something with veterans and the United States military for a while, and when we started talking to the folks at the Gary Sinise Foundation, we knew this was the perfect fit for us,” John Williams, Director of Sales and Marketing, explains. “The work they are doing for our veterans and first responders is incredible, and we are excited to work with such a remarkable organization.”
A unique QR code on the packaging will drive shoppers to a dedicated site where they can learn more about the many programs offered by the foundation. Consumers can also make donations, and Herndon Farms will donate five percent of the gross sales, up to $25,000 during the campaign.
The Gary Sinise Foundation’s mission is to serve our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families, and those in need, a press release explained. The foundation’s programs serve America’s heroes and their loved ones 365 days a year.
