Misionero's Nicole Zapata Shares Expansions, Facility Updates, and More
GONZALES, CA - On top of expanding its innovative Green Wave Farms brand in the market, Misionero has had a prosperous year that would make any supplier green with envy. To check in on how this company and its brands are taking retail by storm, I spoke with Nicole Zapata, Marketing Director.
“On top of our leading brands Green Wave Farms, Earth Greens, and Garden Life, Misionero has recently opened a state-of-the-art processing facility in Mexico, which will add days to shelf-life as the facility is closer to where products are harvested,” Nicole told me. “We have achieved EFI Certification at our Yuma facility and our newest in Mexico has begun the process toward certification.”
The company’s Green Wave Farms brand has become one of Misionero’s most valuable assets, offering a full line of value-added vegetables such as Brussels sprouts, green beans, sugar snap peas, snow peas, and butternut squash.
“Green Wave Farms also offers seasonal squash packs that have been growing in popularity due to their versatile consumer applications. These items are all available in retail and foodservice packs styles,” Nicole added. “Misionero is focused on quality and culture first, and we believe these milestones only certify that vision. Being ‘forward thinking’ is a value we hold dearly at Misionero. Striving to be innovative and strategic is what has made our company and culture so successful throughout the years.”
