MountainKing Prepares Petite-Sized Varieties for Spring Crawfish Season; Andreas Trettin Comments
HOUSTON, TX - Despite crawfish season being later than anticipated this year, MountainKing is waiting on standby with supplies of its popular petite varieties to be ready when demand hits. The grower is also launching a series of how-to videos to help shoppers prepare for spring celebrations.
“Our production levels look very strong, and we’re looking forward to a strong season,” remarks Andreas Trettin, MountainKing’s Director of Marketing.
This year, MountainKing will again be offering its retail partners three-pound bags of its Crawfish B-Red potatoes, three-pound Crawfish Medley Pack, and three-pound Crawfish Gold Pack. According to a release, these items are perfect for backyard gatherings and large, multi-day festivals. Fifty-pound foodservice sacks and graphic table tent cards are available for foodservice operations.
The grower’s pre-sized petite potatoes have a waxy texture and high moisture content, helping them maintain their shape even after boiling, making them ideal for crawfish celebrations. All three crawfish packs are packaged in handy mesh bags, which can be dropped straight into a pot without removing the product from the bag. The boil-n-bag feature also keeps the petite-sized potatoes separated from other ingredients.
To support its retail partners, MountainKing’s Red, Gold, and Medley Crawfish Packs include high-graphic half-size bins, custom display signage, and optional display sleeves for secondary displays. Collaborative social media support is also available.
