Publix Expands With New GreenWise Market in Florida
LAKELAND, FL - Florida-based grocery retailer Publix is staying close to home with its most recent expansion effort. Building out the footprint of its GreenWise Market banner, the company has opened a new store in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, located on the ground floor of The Main Las Olas building.
“We took all of the things our customers love about GreenWise Market and put them in a centralized downtown location,” said President Kevin Murphy. “We look forward to sharing our unique atmosphere and products with our customers who live and work in this busy urban neighborhood.”
GreenWise Market features foods for health-conscious and gourmet foodies alike, according to a press release. The specialty, natural, and organic store includes carefully curated products and experience zones that highlight fresh and local offerings.
The new store also features a mural by local artist Steven Teller, which depicts a variety of tropical plants common to South Florida. The 27,758-square-foot store is the first GreenWise Market to be located in a multi-use high-rise building. This is the banner’s eighth location and the sixth for the state.
