Southern Specialties Ships Asparagus from Mexico



POMPANO BEACH, FL - With Mexico continuing to be a key growing region for the fresh produce industry, Southern Specialties has announced that it will be expanding its Mexican asparagus deal. The company will grow its presence within the country as it strives to meet increased demand from retail and foodservice customers.

We are looking forward to an active season.”

Southern Specialties will be shipping asparagus grown in Caborca, Mexico, until mid-April, according to information from a company release. The asparagus from Mexico will be available in both 11 and 28 lb cases, packed from small to jumbo sizes. Additionally, the company will also be shipping organic asparagus in 11 lb cartons.

The Mexican asparagus will be offered to customers in both LTL and straight loads, and will ship from San Luis, Arizona, and Pompano Beach, Florida.
