ROSEMONT, IL - Although a strong foundation is key for any company, an even stronger workforce is essential to keep an organization growing. US Foods understands the importance of committing to its associates and was recently awarded a 2021 Top Workplace honor by the Chicago Tribune.

The award is presented to companies in the Chicago, Illinois-area that create and sustain a positive and productive culture for their employees, according to a press release. Of 200 workplaces featured on the list, US Foods earned the distinguished honor of being ranked number 26.

Those featured on the list are based solely on anonymous associate feedback gathered through a third-party survey that measures 15 aspects of engaged cultures that are vital to the success of an organization. Those factors include alignment, execution, and connection.

Some of the top-scoring survey items collected from US Foods’ Rosemont-based associates related to them feeling well-informed about decisions, having managers that care, and the company encouraging different points of view. Additionally, collaboration and inclusivity were among the most common words used to describe the distributor’s culture.
