US Foods Shuffles Execs, Hires New CMO, CFO, and EVP/General Counsel
ROSEMONT, IL – Immediately after introducing two new board members last week, US Foods has announced a slew of new corporate hires, including top merchandising and financial roles.
This Wednesday, January 18, the company announced that, effective Monday, January 23, Andrew Iacobucci will join the company as Chief Merchandising Officer. He will oversee category management, procurement, product innovation, food safety, and the company’s marketing efforts.
“Andrew is a proven leader and merchandising executive who will play a key role in helping us continue to drive food leadership and product innovation for our customers,” said US Foods President and CEO Pietro Satriano, in a company press release. “His merchandising expertise and food industry experience will be invaluable as we continue to grow our market share with independent restaurants and other target customers.”
Iacobucci will succeed Steve Guberman following Guberman’s appointment to US Foods’ Executive Vice President, Nationally Managed Business. Guberman was appointed in August 2016, but has continued to serve as Interim CMO for the past five months.
Iacobucci served as EVP, Merchandising for Ahold USA prior to joining US Foods. Before that, he spent 10 years at Loblaw Companies Limited, where he served in several senior roles.
The company’s new CMO hire comes just a week after US Foods announced that it will replace outgoing Chief Financial Officer Fareed Khan with Dirk J. Locascio.
On January 12, US Foods announced that Locascio will assume the role of CFO, reporting directly to President and CEO Pietro Satriano, effective February 6, 2017. Locascio currently serves as Senior Vice President, Financial Accounting and Analysis, responsible for oversight of the company’s corporate finance and accounting functions. Prior to joining US Foods, Locascio held senior finance roles with United Airlines and Arthur Andersen LLP.
“I’m pleased to welcome Dirk as our new CFO. His deep knowledge of US Foods as well as his strategic leadership, financial acumen, and track record in delivering results make him highly qualified to take on this new role,” said Satriano. “I’d also like to thank Fareed for his leadership over the past three years. He was instrumental in our successful initial public offering and leaves US Foods well-positioned for the future.”
The company also announced that Kristin M. Coleman will join US Foods as EVP, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer effective February 1st. Coleman will report to Satriano, oversee all legal and compliance matters, and support the company’s Board of Directors in matter of corporate governance.
“Kristin is a proven leader with exceptional experience managing legal, regulatory, compliance, and public policy issues. We are delighted to have her on board,” said Satriano. “She joins a strong management team focused on growing with our target customers and executing our strategy of Great Food. Made Easy.”
Coleman is an experienced general counsel who joins US Foods from Sears Holdings Corporation, where she served as the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary since 2014. Prior to joining Sears, Coleman served as the Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for Brunswick Corporation, and before that, she worked in a private practice with Sidley Austin LLP.
We at AndNowUKnow congratulate Iacobucci, Locascio, and Coleman, and wish the three execs the best in their new ventures.
