US Foods Signs Lease Renewal for Suburban Chicago Office in Rosemont, Illinois
CHICAGO, IL - The beginning of a new decade has spurred many companies to tackle expansion strategies. As those in the fresh produce biz know, expansion can come in all shapes and sizes, which means that not every retailer and foodservice operator thinks about growth in the same way. For US Foods, its recent lease renewal on its 275,000-square-foot office campus comes with a 1 million-square-foot expansion option, leaving ample room for us to ponder how this expansion option will be used.
“We are excited to take this next step in our transformation plans to bring more innovative workplace designs and amenities to our Rosemont headquarters,” stated Dawn Mandarino, Senior Manager for Real Estate, in a report by GlobeSt.com. “The convenience of our Rosemont location, combined with our commitment to creating a dynamic and collaborative workplace, provides US Foods with the ideal environment for attracting and retaining top talent across the Chicagoland area.”
The foodservice distributor is no stranger to expansion, as it announced back in June, 2019, of its new distribution center in McClellan, California. That facility is set to open by the end of 2020.
How will the expansion option play out in US Foods’ favor? Is the company buckling down for a strong decade of growth and innovation? AndNowUKnow will continue to report.
