Vic Savanello Named Vice President of Merchandising, Produce for The Fresh Market, Inc.
GREENSBORO, NC - The Fresh Market has announced the appointment of Vic Savanello to Vice President of Merchandising, Produce. In his 30 years in the produce and floral management industry, Savanello worked for 10 years at Allegiance Retail Services as Senior Director of Produce and Floral and 20 years for Wakefield Food Corporation—for 15 of which he served as a Produce Category Manager.

Savanello is a New Jersey native, who earned his bachelor’s degree at William Paterson University, according to a recent press release. He is currently President of the Eastern Produce Council, on the board of which he has served since 2006. In addition to that position, Savanello is Chairman of the New York Produce Show’s EPC Strategic Planning Committee, Co Chairman of the Eastern Produce Council Golf Outing Committee, and a member of SEPC and NEPC. Prior to these positions, he served on the PMA Fresh Summit Committee.
