Weis Markets and DoorDash Partner for On-Demand Grocery Delivery; Ron Bonacci and Shanna Prevé Comment
SUNBURY, PA - If we’ve learned anything throughout the pandemic, it’s the fact that consumers love the convenience of grocery delivery. Skyrocketing in popularity over the past year and a half, the sector is only gaining further traction, and Weis Markets is tapping into its growth by partnering with DoorDash. Together, the pair will bring the grocery delivery platform to over 170 Weis stores in its seven-state network.
“We’re committed to bringing our customers a strong combination of convenience and value every day,” said Weis Markets Vice President of Advertising and Marketing Ron Bonacci. “This partnership expands online shopping and delivery options available to customers and offers them the convenience of shopping a wide variety of the high-quality Weis Markets products they trust within the DoorDash app.”
DoorDash will offer more than 47,000 items from Weis Markets including produce, fresh meat and seafood, dairy, snacks, and more grocery staples.
Consumers can now shop for their favorite Weis Markets products on the DoorDash marketplace app and website, with average delivery in an hour, a press release explained.
“As consumer expectations for convenience and accessibility increase, we are excited to partner with Weis Markets to bring their extensive selection of groceries to customers’ doorsteps on-demand throughout the mid-Atlantic region,” said Shanna Prevé, Vice President, Strategic Partnerships and Business Development at DoorDash.
The platform’s solution will be available across Weis Markets stores in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Maryland, and Delaware.
As more retailers expand their reach in the delivery sector, AndNowUKnow will continue to report.
