Hugh F. (Bud) Linden Jr., 50-Year Produce Veteran, Passes Away
LOS ANGELES, CA - Hugh F. (Bud) Linden Jr. passed away yesterday, October 9, 2017, the Fresh Produce & Floral Council (FPFC) announced with a heavy heart.
Bud spent much of his 50-year produce career in the Los Angeles produce market, having began his produce career in the San Francisco produce market after returning from World War II. He then moved to Los Angeles in 1953 with Mendelson-Zeller Co.
Forty years later, he retired after working for several different firms, owning his own brokerage company, and watching as three of his sons followed him into the industry. He was involved in the early days of the FPFC and served on the board in the late 1960s.
The FPFC shared in the statement that its members’ thoughts and prayers are with Bud's family and friends at this time.
He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Audrey, his six kids, eleven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and many other relatives.
The team at AndNowUKnow would like to extend our deepest condolences to all those affected by this loss.
