While the California drought has proved a difficult challenge for many Golden State growers, the hot, dry conditions experienced this past summer are perfect for the cultivation of Medjool dates, according to a press release.

The California harvest is about two weeks early this year due to weather conditions, but this had no impact on quality, which is looking excellent, particularly for the Caramel Naturel variety.
