DiMare Enterprises Completes 331-kW Solar Panel System
INDIO, CA – DiMare Enterprises has completed its 331-kW solar panel system in its Indio, California service and distribution center.
The system is made up of 1,068 solar panels that have been installed on the roofs of DiMare’s packing house and carports, the result of a three month installation process.
According to a press release, the system will produce 544,000 kW hours per year and will help to offset 90% of the company’s cooling load used to pack and store fruit.
“We are excited about this project and our commitment towards becoming a more green business. This is the first of many projects we have under our new sustainability initiative for DiMare,” said Tom DiMare, CEO of DiMare Enterprises.
The company partnered with Sustineo Solar Corporation to provide a turnkey EPC solution for the company’s sustainability initiative as well as providing long-term operations and maintenance.
Under its new solar rebate program, the Imperial Irrigation District has provided a Performance Based Incentive for the first 5 years of operation.
DiMare will be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony, dedication and tour at 11:00am on February 2, 2015 at the company’s offices in Indio, California.
