BAKERSFIELD, CA - Grimmway Farms has named long-time industry leader Jeff Huckaby as its new President.

“Over the past 25 years, I’ve seen the rapid growth of both the baby carrot business and the demand for organics,” Huckaby said on his new appointment, according to a press release. “I’m looking forward to working with our customers, employees, and industry partners as we chart the next decade of growth.”

Huckaby steps into the role in the footsteps of former President Jeff Meger, with whom he has co-managed the company since the passing of Co-Founder Bob Grimm in 2006.

Prior to the promotion, Huckaby served as Grimmway’s Executive Vice President, and was responsible for sales, production, farming, and harvesting of all commodities grown and packed by the company.

The new President initially joined Grimmway in 1998 as Ranch Manager, where he helped jumpstart the Organic Division and eventually became its General Manager. Before that, he had worked at Bolthouse Farms, working his way up from Plant Production Manager, to Grower Representative, to Farm Manager, gaining experience from different leadership aspects.

Grimmway has since grown to the industry giant it is today, encompassing Cal-Organic Farms, King Pak Potato Co., and True Organic Juices and operating in the following states:

• Washington
• Oregon
• Colorado
• Georgia
• Florida

Huckaby worked with Meger to help steer that rapid growth, joining him in the executive role in 2006. Now as Meger moves in to heading up Grimmway’s real estate division, Huckaby will step in as President.
