Kroger Closes Partnership Deal with Lucky's Market
CINCINNATI, OH – Kroger finalized a partnership with Lucky’s Market last week in what the company said is a strategic financial move.
Boulder, CO-founded company Lucky's Market has operated as a specialty grocery chain in the Midwest and Southeastern U.S. since 2003, according to a release. While the financial details of the partnership were not disclosed in the company's announcemnt, Kroger said that it expects its market range and expertise to benefit Lucky’s and help to expand the chain in the future.
Lucky’s Market and its affiliates currently employ over 1,800 associates with 17 stores in 13 states. Store sizes average 3,000-square-feet, featuring the following display touches:
- Culinary showcases featuring recipes by CEO Bo Sharon, and his wife, Trish
- Wooden crates
- Field bins,
- Barrels
- Garage door entrances
Lucky’s is widely known for its farmers market-esque layout, and its "Organic for the 99%" program, which both promote the organic and locally-grown products housed under the Lucky chain, Kroger said.
The retailer added that the partnership was designed to further improve the practices, products, and techniques that Lucky’s currently offers, while simultaneously providing Kroger’s customers with organic and natural foods in alignment with the company’s Customer 1st program
