SALINAS, CA - Mann Packing is adding on to its recently-launched Mann’s Nourish Bowls™, a line of single-serve, warm meals, with an on-trend flavor just in time for PMA: Cauli-Rice Curry.

The Cauli-Rice Curry bowl is a flavourful mix of finely-chopped cauliflower, chickpeas, and a savory vindaloo-style curry sauce.

"Extensive research along with feedback from our consumers inspired us to extend the line with this delicious new bowl,” Mann’s Director of Corporate Marketing, Gina Nucci, stated in a press release. “Vindaloo-style dishes are some of the most popular on Indian food menus. We wanted to bring that hard-to-replicate-at-home flavor to consumers.”

The new Cauli-Rice Curry bowl joins the following original flavors of the award-winning line: 

• Smokehouse Brussels
• Sesame Sriracha
• Southwest Chipotle
• Monterey Risotto

Since their initial launch in April of this year, Nourish Bowls have gained over 12,000 points of distribution, delivering strong margins and good velocity to retailers. The company noted that Mann’s Nourish Bowls are capitalizing on the popularity of bowl-based meals, offering complete meal kits and helping bring to the fresh cut-veg category what single-serve salad bowls have done for the packaged salad segment.

“The sales performance of the first four bowls was so strong during the summer months; we’re expecting great things for the line heading into fall and winter," Gina said.

The Cauli-Rice Curry bowl, featuring herbs and spices typically found only in Indian dishes, reaches the rising demand in the U.S. for one of the fastest growing ethnic food segments. That, combined with quick-to-prepare convenience, helps the bowl appeal to a demographic ranging from moms to Millennials.
