Curry & Company Appoints Ruth Campos-Martinez Executive Director of Sales
BROOKS, OR – As the company looks to strategically boost its sales and procurement operations, Curry & Company has brought Ruth Campos-Martinez onboard its sales and marketing team. Ruth will bring a wealth of experience to the team, and is now based out of the company’s Los Angeles, CA office.
“I wanted to take the last 10 years of my experience, as well as a fierce commitment to excellence, and implement it towards further expanding sales and procurement opportunities within the business,” Ruth said. “My role at Curry & Company will allow me to achieve this goal. Curry & Company’s experience, unique model of service, and strong, growing presence in the industry is exciting. I'm very impressed by their recent double digit growth, and thrilled to have the opportunity to bring additional energy and experience to the team. Contributing to the company’s future success as well as the many innovations we are working on will be very fulfilling.”
Ruth brings over a decade of industry experience and enthusiasm to the Curry & Company team. Most recently, she served as Export Division Manager for Giumarra Companies. Ruth also gained experience at Giumarra by working in the company’s West Coast Blueberry Sales and served as an Operations Manager.
Ruth will be a key member of the executive team and work closely with Curry & Company’s sales and marketing staff, growers, and operations team to help plan and implement sales, marketing, and new product development programs. These programs will be implemented for both short- and long-range projects, targeted toward existing and new markets, according to a press release. Campos-Martinez will also play a key role in expanding opportunities with other categories through strategic partnerships.
“Ruth has a fantastic reputation in the industry with both customers and growers,” said President Matt Curry. “Her skill set and knowledge base, especially in the berry category, is a great addition to the Curry & Company team.”
The company further stated that Ruth’s additional duties will include helping to manage and develop key growth sales and procurement strategies primarily for Curry & Company’s conventional and organic berry sales. She will also play a key role in the development of grape, cherry, and apple exports.
Ruth’s addition comes at a great time for the Curry & Company, as the company is preparing to shift its year-round blueberry program to Oregon in the coming weeks with more blueberries and blackberries.
Congratulations to Ruth and the Curry & Company team, we can't wait to see where you head next!
