WENATCHEE, WA - Those of us headed for The Big Easy later this week are in for a treat of the technological kind at the Stemilt Growers PMA Fresh Summit Booth. The company has set up camp at booth #1123 with a brand new virtual introduction to its Inspiration Orchard™, a place “Where Flavors Grow.”

Using a new virtual reality set dubbed Inspiration Theatre, Stemilt is allowing Fresh Summit attendees an inside and high-tech look inside its Inspiration Orchard, a fictitious place the company says is filled with Stemilt’s vision for growing apples with flavor and quality. Guided by company President West Mathison, Stemilt’s Inspiration Orchard helps attendees get a closer look at the company’s journey to be the most unique and flavor driven apple grower and shipper in the industry.

“PMA Fresh Summit is the perfect place to bring the orchard and our Inspiration Orchard™ vision to life,” said Brianna Shales, Communications Manager. “We invite people to take a seat at Inspiration Theatre and experience our modern approach to growing flavorful apples first-hand.”

Visitors to booth #1123 will be invited to delve into Stemilt’s Inspiration Theatre, where two participants can strap on virtual reality goggles and find themselves immersed into the virtual world of Inspiration Orchard. According to a press release, this virtual reality is a 360 viewing of a modern Stemilt apple orchard during harvest, allowing viewers to feel like they are in that same moment with the Stemilt horticulture team. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn about the Orchard, including what motivates the Stemilt team to grow and distribute what it says is the best, most flavorful fruit in the industry.

Not game to mess up your expertly coiffed show floor hair with the virtual reality goggles? Brianna says one large screen will also be available for others to watch as attendees interact in this virtual reality. Once the tour is completed, participants can enter to win a Yeti Cooler, in which three participants will win and be notified the week following PMA.

“Once these attendees take the leap into Inspiration Theatre, they will forget they are even in New Orleans, and be experiencing the beauty of Stemilt’s orchard in central Washington instead,” added Shales.
