Walmart Launches New Meal Kits to Help Consumers Meal Prep
BENTONVILLE, AR – The best meal of the day is obviously dinner, but according to a Walmart press release, nearly 80 percent of Americans don’t know what they’re feasting on by the time 4 P.M. rolls around every day. However, Walmart is hoping to lower that percentage with its new meal kits. Developed and tested in the retailer’s Culinary and Innovation Center, Walmart’s new meal kits are launching in more than 2,000 stores this year and are ready to make consumers’ weekly meal prep a breeze.
“Customers are busier than ever and we know getting a delicious dinner on the table can be a chore. We’re here to help,” said Tyler Lehr, Senior Vice President and General Merchandise Manager, Deli Services. “These delicious meals give the best or worst of cooks a fresh, easy option for dinner tonight, or later this week.”
Available now in more than 250 stores and via Walmart’s Online Grocery Pickup, where customers can order online at lunch and pick up as soon as dinner time, the new meal kits are made and assembled fresh in-store in the deli on the daily, and include three different easy-use options.
