King Kullen Announces Executive Promotions
BETHPAGE, NY - One executive hire is exciting, but five?! Now we’re really talking. King Kullen has released an announcement for five executive promotions.
Smithtown, New York, resident Richard Conger joined the company in 1999, holding positions as Director of Produce/Meat/Seafood and Deli, and he is now stepping into his role as Vice President of Perishables. He will report to King Kullen Co-President Brian Cullen.
Amityville, New York-local Tracey Cullen will now become Vice President of Marketing after having joined the company in 2010. Cullen has held the role of Director of Pricing and Social Media. She will report to Senior Vice President and Chief Merchandising Officer Joseph Brown.
Floral Park, New York, resident Robert Jandovitz will take on the Vice President of Human Resources position, moving up from his former role as Director of Human Resources. In his new role, he will report to Co-President J. Donald Kennedy.
Bayport, New York-based James Leary previously held the role of Director of Accounts Payable; now he is to become Vice President and Controller of Operations and will report to Co-President J. Donald Kennedy.
Finally, Smithtown, New York-local Elizabeth Ostrove will become Vice President and Controller of Finance, a promotion from her previous role as Director of Accounting. She will now report to Co-President J. Donald Kennedy.
According to a press release, the Bethpage, New York-based grocery chain is recognized by the Smithsonian Institution as America’s first supermarket, founded in 1930 by Michael J. Cullen. Since then, the company has gained operation of 32 supermarkets and five Wild by Nature stores in the Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
