Bee Sweet Citrus Joins Power Your Lunchbox Promise with Produce for Kids for Third Year in a Row
FOWLER, CA - Politicians are not the only ones campaigning for love from citizens—Bee Sweet Citrus is jumping in, for the third year, on Power Your Lunchbox Promise with Produce for Kids. The national campaign, which started this week and ends on September 23rd, wants to celebrate the beauty when families and children eat healthier lunches, after-school snacks, and everyday dinners.
“Bee Sweet Citrus is very excited to take part in such an amazing, health-oriented campaign,” Director of Communications Monique Bienvenue said. “For the past five years, Produce for Kids has done an amazing job of sharing healthy tips and recipes with families and educators. We’re eager to see how our combined efforts can help encourage healthy habits at home and in the classroom.”
During the campaign, families are encouraged to take an online promise to support healthy eating at home and at school, according to a press release. A $1 donation from Power Your Lunchbox Promise sponsors will be made to Feeding America programs that support families and children for every promise made online.
Produce for Kids will also be marketing registered dietitian-approved recipes and nutrition tips online and on social media platforms. Those participating in the promise can use #PowerYourLunchbox throughout the campaign to inform everyone about it.
“As we celebrate the 5th year of the Power Your Lunchbox Promise, and over 1 million meals donated to Feeding America through the program, we could not have made such an impact without the support of passionate partners like Bee Sweet Citrus,” Produce for Kids Digital Marketing Manager Amber Bloom said. “Together, we’re creating a healthier generation one promise, lunchbox, and meal donated at a time.”
Power Your Lunchbox campaign material will be made available online through Bee Sweet Citrus’s social media platforms. The company will also take part in the campaign’s Twitter party on August 16th at 4 p.m. ET, so keep your eyes peeled for more details or visit www.poweryourlunchbox.com.
