Chiquita Encourages Fans to Stay Home with Updated Logo



CHARLOTTE, NC - As more developments on the coronavirus (COVID-19) come to light, officials are urging the populace to maintain heightened safety precautions and practice social distancing when not in their residence. The produce community by and large has taken steps to ensure the safety and health of everyone involved in the industry. Industry icons like Miss Chiquita, the mascot for Chiquita, is showing solidarity herself by staying at home as well.

Chiquita posted its iconic sticker without its Miss Chiquita mascot as a way to raise awareness for COVID-19 concerns and encourage consumers to stay home

The banana purveyor recently posted to its Twitter with the caption: “I'm already home. Please do the same and protect yourself. #stayhome” alongside an updated logo without Miss Chiquita in the iconic emblem. Chiquita is hoping to spread the message for its consumers to heed the government’s recommendations to stay at home in order to limit the spread of COVID-19.
