United Fresh Produce Association Touts Paycheck Protection Program
UNITED STATES - One thing I’ve learned throughout my time in the industry is that when the going gets tough, we all band together. The United Fresh Produce Association is utilizing its resources to provide the ag community with all information necessary to stay informed and up-to-date on the latest measures that can protect their operations.
One such resource that United Fresh wants to communicate to the industry is the Paycheck Protection Program. After the passage by the House and Senate of the CARES Act, an additional $10 billion has been allocated to the Small Business Administration’s (SBA) Economic Injury Disaster and another $350 billion has been added to SBA’s Paycheck Protection Program.
Although information is changing rapidly, United Fresh provides detailed information here as to how to apply for lending programs to help mitigate relief during these unprecedented times. The company’s Coronavirus: Fresh Produce Industry Resource Page is a most welcome sight for those seeking answers.
