Trader Joe's Launches Turkeyless Plant-Based Burger Patties
MONROVIA, CA - Plant-based meat lovers like myself will be bursting with excitement to learn that Trader Joe’s recently launched its latest plant-based addition to its product lineup. The grocer is capitalizing on a fast-growing trend, bringing yet another meatless option to the market. Trader Joe’s new product strays from the mainstream, though, as it imitates a turkey burger rather than beef.
“It may seem far outside the ordinary, implausible, even, but plant-based burgers have become one of the most popular food trends of the past few years, and there’s no sign of slowing down,” Trader Joe’s said in a statement. “Folks are increasingly going for meatless burgers for all kinds of reasons, but we like to think that one reason in particular is primarily responsible: plant-based burgers have gotten really, really good recently.”
According to VegNews, Trader Joe’s new Turkeyless Protein Patties boast 23 grams of protein per serving. This follows a similar beefless launch from earlier in the year, which was met with extremely high praises from the chain’s cult-like following.
What will be Trader Joe’s next plant-based innovation? We at ANUK, alongside vegetarians everywhere, will be the first to find out.
