McLane Company Rolls Out Direct to Consumer Groceries in Bell County, Texas
TEMPLE, TX - Pivoting strategies has become synonymous with this new era of COVID-19 market share. Although the nation has moved toward reopening, wholesalers and foodservice distributors are still working to find their footing. One such company is McLane, which has recently taken a different approach by selling wholesale groceries directly to consumers.
According to a news report on local news outlet, abc25, McLane started selling groceries on a new online platform, McLane Direct. Shoppers have been able to utilize the platform to purchase small and large quantities of grocery items.
Although the service is currently central to McLane’s Southwest distribution center in Temple, Texas, the company has announced that it plans to expand the service to other locations.
