Food Lion Expands Its Grocery Services With “Food Lion To-Go” Option
SALISBURY, NC - After recently partnering with Instacart to expand its services, Food Lion is continuing to show out in the retail arena by adding additional “Food Lion To-Go” grocery pick up at 43 new stores. The rollout kicked off August 24, making for a convenient addition right before the Labor Day holiday weekend that consumers are sure to take advantage of.
“Expanding this convenient service to additional Food Lion stores is more important than ever,” said Evan Harding, Director of Digital and E-Commerce Marketing. “We want to give local neighbors the option to shop through the channel they prefer, in-store or online, while still ensuring they have access to the freshest groceries at affordable prices.”
According to the press release, Food Lion is continuing to expand this new service across its local towns and cities, highlighting its commitment to making grocery shopping easy, fresh, and affordable. The service will roll out to 43 additional stores in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia markets.
With the click of a button, Food Lion To-Go allows customers to experience the same low prices and fresh food items without having to ever enter a store. The service allows customers to place an order and pick up their groceries on the same day. To-Go shoppers will pick, pack, and store customers’ orders. When they arrive, shoppers will load the order into the car.
