Instacart Appoints Rama Katkar as Vice President of Finance
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Consumers are cooking more from home, leading to a rise in-home delivery of essential produce. Instacart is continuing to boost its presence in the retail world as it taps an industry pro to its team. Veteran finance executive Rama Katkar is joining Instacart as Vice President of Finance.
Katkar joins the Instacart team with more than 20 years of finance experience, including investing, strategic operations, and M&A. She was most recently a Senior Vice President at Credit Karma, where she spent nearly six years leading corporate development, strategic finance, and business operations.
“Over the course of the last year, Instacart has become a lifeline for customers, shoppers, and partners across North America,” the company stated in its announcement. “As we focus on our next chapter, we’re strengthening our team by adding more talent across the company to help us continue to meet the needs of all the communities we serve.”
At Instacart, Katkar will lead the company’s finance team, with a focus on FP&A and strategic finance. She will be joining Instacart, helping lead a fast-growing finance organization at a company that she also relies on to stock her own growing family’s fridge. Katkar will be reporting directly to recently-appointed CFO Nick Giovanni.
During her time at Credit Karma, Katkar helped build and scale the finance and operations team to support an almost $1 billion revenue business, stated the company. Among her many accomplishments at the company, Katkar recently played a key role as part of the team leading Credit Karma’s sale to Intuit. Prior to Credit Karma, Katkar was an entrepreneur and investor, with experience at TPG Growth and General Atlantic Partners. She began her career at Morgan Stanley in M&A.
Congratulations to Rama Katkar on her new position!
