Fareway Announces New Store in Ogden, Iowa; Reynolds W. Cramer, Brian Reimers, and Craig Christensen Comment
BOONE, IA - Following its recent announcement of a strategic executive shakeup, Fareway is taking the next step in its growth strategy with the addition of a new store in Ogden, Iowa. The new 8,000-square-foot store is expected to be completed in late 2022.
“We are excited to bring Fareway to Ogden and appreciate the local officials and the State of Iowa, who helped make this project possible,” said Fareway Chief Executive Officer Reynolds W. Cramer. “We look forward to serving area residents and remain committed to helping make our local communities vibrant.”
The new location will be located at 302 West Walnut Street, according to a press release.
This announcement follows the company’s tactical move to implement online shopping and curbside pick up at nearly 50 of its locations back in April, as it continues to explore new strategies to fortify its retail prowess.
“We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Fareway to Ogden! Our community is thrilled, and this will be a positive addition to the landscape of downtown,” said Mayor Pro-Tem Brian Reimers. “We are so appreciative to be working with a great Iowa company, and one that is located right here in Boone County!”
Ogden Legacy President Craig Christensen also commented on the soon-coming Fareway store.
“We are appreciative of Fareway and their investment in the Ogden community, and look forward to having a local grocery option in our downtown once again,” said Ogden Legacy President Craig Christensen. “Thank you to the many community groups and members who have been supportive of continued economic development and this project.”
