VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, CANADA - Despite global challenges affecting everything from the workforce to the supply chain, Oppy has proven its strength in the face of opposition as it has been selected as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies. This is the 21st consecutive year the grower has been named to the prestigious list and the 15th time it has been part of the program’s Platinum Club.

John Anderson, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Partner, Oppy“It’s an honor to be recognized as ‘best managed’ for so many years,” said Chairman, Chief Executive Officer, and Managing Partner John Anderson. “It’s especially meaningful this time around. We have persevered through extreme challenges in the last 12 months, and, like the rest of the industry, are bravely navigating our share of headwinds, between supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, weather events, inflation, and more. It’s a credit to the amazing team at Oppy that we stand where we do today.”

The Canada’s Best Managed Companies program awards candidates based on evaluations by an independent judging panel made up of representatives from program sponsors and special guest judges, a release explained. Companies are reviewed based on overall business performance and leadership in areas of strategy, capabilities and innovation, culture and commitment, and financials to achieve sustainable growth.

Oppy has once again been selected as one of Canada’s Best Managed companies, marking the 21st consecutive year the grower has been named to the prestigious list and the 15th time it has been part of the program’s Platinum Club

Due to Oppy’s strong business strategy and dedication, the company experienced cultural and commercial growth in the face of ongoing world challenges, earning them this recognition.

“Now more than ever, we’re operating with a heightened sense of purpose,” Anderson added. “We recognize that when we’re achieving our full potential, we can positively influence the lives on both ends of our supply chain—from those who grow our fruits and vegetables to those who ultimately enjoy them.”

Anderson is set to participate in the Global Excellence Panel at the Canada’s Best Managed symposium taking place today, highlighting the importance of innovation, culture, and governance in fostering a successful organizational approach.

Congratulations to Oppy on this special honor!
