BOISE, ID - Nothing says growth quite like an impressive lineup of new hires. Golbon is continuing to prove its prowess in the foodservice industry, as the operator has just named three new leaders to its team. Jeff Barstow is taking on the role of Director of Category Management, Geoff Abell will become the Director of Member Development, and Betty Wettstein is stepping in as Member Manager of Convenience and Retail.

For over 30 years, Barstow has held multiple key senior roles within the industry, including being an Owner/Founder of an independent broadline distributor in the Northeast, a press release stated.

“Jeff brings to Golbon a wealth of knowledge and strong relationships from within the foodservice industry. We could not be happier to add such a diverse resource like Jeff to our Golbon team,” said Randy Dominguez, Vice President of Category Management.

In addition to Barstow is Abell, who brings an extensive background in sales. He reportedly spent the last 10 years as the VP of Sales for a foodservice distributor in North Carolina.

“We are excited to have Geoff on board and are looking forward to utilizing his foodservice distribution experience to help enhance the growth of Golbon’s distributor members,” said Tony Taylor, Vice President of Member Development, about the appointment.

Wettstein also has experience in wholesale food distribution and retail stores, including sales, purchasing, operations, and marketing. In her previous role, she was a Food Service Director for a distributor supporting a six-state region of convenience store business, foodservice programs, and product procurement.

“Betty is passionate about the industry, committed to developing lasting relationships, and is a welcomed addition to the Golbon convenience team,” said Ryan Peters, Vice President of Convenience and Retail.

Dave Myers, President, commented on how the appointment of these three leaders will propel further growth for the company.
