Bill Pollard Promoted to Senior Director of Produce and Meat for Dollar General
GOODLETTSVILLE, TN - As Dollar General continues to expand in footprint and vision, the company has promoted Bill Pollard to the role of Senior Director of Produce and Meat for the progressive and driven operation.
Bill joined Dollar General in 2013 and has been a witness to the incredible growth of the store count and the recent move to expand the company’s fresh-forward strategy. The company shared that it currently plans to add produce in 3,000 stores by the end of fiscal year 2022.
In addition, Dollar General announced plans last year to provide fresh fruits and vegetables in 10,000 total stores over the next several years—including a meaningful number of stores located in the United States Department of Agriculture defined food deserts.
As Dollar General revealed, with approximately 75 percent of the U.S. population living within five miles of a Dollar General store, millions of Americans rely on the company to provide convenient and affordable access to everyday essentials.
