Instacart Launches Cart Star Rewards Program; Tom Maguire and John Adams Comment
SAN FRANCISCO, CA - Implementing a new strategy to uplift its workforce, grocery ally Instacart has rolled out a new rewards program. The grocery delivery platform announced the introduction of Cart Star, which allows the company’s shoppers to be recognized for their work on the platform through tailored rewards and offerings.
"Shoppers are an important part of the Instacart community, helping us invite the world to share love through food," said Tom Maguire, Vice President of Operations and Care. "They balance empathy and efficiency with communication and problem-solving, and we're thrilled to unveil our Cart Star program to recognize top shoppers with impactful incentives that help them stand out to their customers, improve their access to earnings, and reach their personal goals."
According to a press release, the Cart Star program will offer incentives via three tiers: Gold, Platinum, or Diamond Cart, allowing every qualifying shopper to receive tailored rewards and offerings. Shoppers accumulate points based on the number of orders they fulfill, earning them a spot in one of the aforementioned tiers.
As noted in the release, shoppers must also maintain a 4.7 average customer rating to have access to the program. Platinum and Diamond Cart shoppers will receive recognition in the Instacart app.
With a badge notifying users of experienced and highly-rated shoppers on the app, consumers may be more inclined to purchase higher amounts of produce and other fresh offerings, as they can trust in the quality and reliability based on a shopper’s Cart Star status.
