Bobalu Continues 60-Year Anniversary Celebration; Anthony Gallino and RC and Bobby Jones Comment
OXNARD, CA - “Cheers to 60 Years!” This may be the message you have heard resounding from Bobalu all year, as the berry supplier is celebrating 60 successful years in business. Keeping this celebration going, Bobalu has found new ways to commemorate its exciting anniversary each month of 2022. And what better way to ring in a milestone birthday than surrounded by industry friends at the upcoming International Fresh Produce Association’s (IFPA) Foodservice Conference?
“It seems only fitting to share champagne with customers visiting with us at the booth to celebrate partnerships established within foodservice as we focus on continued company growth in this very important segment,” commented Anthony Gallino, Vice President of Sales.
This will be the first time the supplier exhibits at the IFPA Foodservice Conference, and Bobalu will be adding to the various new programs, philanthropic activities, and staff additions that have been announced in celebration of its 60th anniversary.
During the show, Bobalu will be highlighting its late summer and fall strawberry program, which will provide new acreage producing fresh strawberries in multiple regions of California carrying the company into 2023. As noted in a press release, this added volume for the late season is vital to the foodservice sector, as it relies on consistent supply for fall and winter menus.
Bobalu also held a company-wide party and BBQ in Oxnard, California, which allowed company owners to give thanks to their staff for the support received by every employee. In addition to great food, the BBQ featured commemorative gifts, photos, and speeches by Bobby and RC Jones with personal thanks to all.
“We have looked forward to this staff party more than any other celebration this year,” commented RC Jones, Managing Partner for the berry grower, in the release.
Bobby Jones, Managing Partner, also shared some words with the team.
“Celebrating with our team that is with us every day means the world to us,” he added. “It’s only July and there is much more ahead as this company enjoys past accomplishments and sets its sights on the future together.”
