T&G Global and BayWa Global Produce Prepare for Asia Fruit Logistica; Gareth Edgecombe and Benedikt Mangold Share
NEW ZEALAND - T&G Global is linking arms with one of its partners to hit the show floor. The marketer announced that its ally, BayWa Global Produce, is ramping up for the Asia Fruit Logistica this November, bringing along its team of partners including T&G.
“Asia is a key growth market for T&G, with strong demand for our premium apple brands, and it will be great to catch up and connect with our valued partners,” said T&G Global Chief Executive Officer Gareth Edgecombe. “Our flagship Envy™ brand is the perfect celebration apple, with its large red size, balanced sweetness, fresh aroma, and satisfying crunch, which makes it perfect for gifting. These attributes appeal to consumers across Asia, especially in Thailand, China, and Vietnam where Envy has big potential. And our JAZZ™ apples have a strong presence across Asia, appealing to families with children as the ideal snack on the go.”
The BayWa Global Produce team includes T&G Global, TFC Holland, BayWa Obst, and VentureFruit™. The group will have a shared stand at H-17 during the three-day exhibition, showcasing its premium Envy and JAZZ apple brands, according to a press release.
“Our stand brings together all of BayWa Global Produce’s entities, reinforcing our collective scale and the synergies of our business model,” Benedikt Mangold, Chief Executive of BayWa Global Produce, added. “While each business has its own strategy and operating model, as a network we’re able to combine our strengths and leverage our global reach, and together showcase the impressive work we’re doing in areas such as plant genetics, growing, marketing and innovation.”
BayWa sources a colorful portfolio of fruit and vegetables from all over the world, ranging from apples and stonefruit to berries and exotics.
“Having just come off the back of a highly successful Mid-Autumn Festival in Asia where we sold over one million Envy apples in China, we’re looking forward to discussing the forthcoming North American season and our plans for Envy and JAZZ across the region,” Edgecombe concluded.
Best of luck to these exhibitors!
