WENATCHEE, WA - You can bet the AndNowUKnow team was feeling the holiday spirit when a festive photo of the Stemilt team landed in our inbox, adorned with happy smiles and a host of beautifully wrapped gifts. Donating presents to foster children in the Wenatchee valley for its 10th year, the apple provider has brought holiday joy to 131 kids in Chelan and Douglas counties under the care of the Washington State Department of Youth and Family Services and K Connections.

West Mathison, President, Stemilt“I am always so humbled and thankful for the generosity of our Stemilters and a special thanks to the Stemilt Community Investment Committee for wrapping every gift beautifully,” said President West Mathison. “Being in the room and seeing all these gifts knowing that each one would bring a child great joy…it is overwhelming.”

Stemilt is one company that continues to do its part in the community. In 2020, the supplier partnered with Hansen Fruit for the eighth year to provide gifts to over 170 children in foster care and low-income housing. This partnership was expanded in 2021 when the duo distributed presents to a total of 146 foster kids in the Wenatchee and Yakima communities.
