SALINAS, CA - Church Brothers Farms is taking its growth strategy up a notch as it looks to capitalize on new opportunities in the year ahead. As part of its play, the grower is expanding its team and promoting members within its Ag Operations department to support its foodservice and retail business. These appointments include Brian Hunt, Michael “Mike” Scanlon, Francisco Munoz, and Charles “Chuck” Clunn.

This new alignment within Ag Operations will allow Church Brothers to capitalize on growth opportunities and help us move to the next level,” said Hunt, recently appointed Senior Vice President Ag Operations.

In his new role, Hunt will be restructuring and expanding the Ag Operations leadership team to support his vision of increased alignment across the company, a release explained. The structure will create continuity, with each of the new Directors being responsible for their assigned crops, enhancing yields, and increasing customer satisfaction.

As part of the restructuring, Scanlan has joined Church Brothers as Director of Ag Operations with a focus on maintenance, trucking, and managing the Tuscan and chimichanga crops.

Within the Ag Operations team, Munoz has been promoted to Director of Ag Operations and will be focusing on Romaine, Baby Romaine, and green leaf crops. He will continue to collaborate with the Quality Assurance team through program and policy implementation, ensuring compliance with customer and government regulatory requirements.

I originally started in 2013 as a Food Safety Specialist and these last four years I have worked as the Field Food Safety and Quality Control Manager,” stated Munoz. “I am grateful for the opportunities I have had at Church Brothers and for this new role as well. I look forward to working with and learning from the Ag Ops team.”

Clunn was also promoted to Director of Ag Operations, focusing on Iceberg, broccoli, and cauliflower crops. He will continue managing ag operations in the Imperial Valley of California through contract negotiations, grower relations, and managing planting schedules and budgets. Clunn has worked for Church Brothers for the last eight years.
