SAINT ANN, MO - Save A Lot is bolstering the prowess of its leadership team with a new appointment to its Board of Directors. In its latest announcement, the grocer revealed Cathy Skula has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors as an Independent Director, effective immediately.

Skula currently serves as Operating Partner of global investment firm Riverside. She brings over 30 years of retail experience to the new role. Before joining Riverside, she spent the majority of her career in various roles with Rent-A-Center, including serving as President and Chief Executive Officer of Rent-A-Center Franchising International, a press release noted.

In her role with Rent-A-Center, Skula grew the number of locations from 200 to more than 500, earning the #2 spot on Entrepreneur magazine’s list of “Best New Franchises.”

Skula also held multiple other executive roles with Rent-A-Center, including tenure as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer as well as Division Vice President of Operations.
