Fowler Packing Company Announces Peelz Giveaway; Justin Parnagian Comments
FRESNO, CA - St. Patrick’s Day may have come and gone, but for many in the Fresno, California, area, the day marked a momentous occasion. Fowler Packing Company’s Peelz Citrus surprised community members and employees with $20,000 worth of free groceries on St. Patrick’s Day.
“Life can be complicated,” said Justin Parnagian, Chief Executive Officer. “We wanted to provide our community a little relief from the daily stresses of life in the simplest way—find our orange envelopes and win free stuff. As a locally grown business, we feel a strong connection to our community and wanted to give back in a fun and meaningful way.”
A real-life leprechaun, the Peelz team scattered orange envelopes in local grocery stores filled with grocery store gift cards ranging from $50–$500 and free Peelz coupons in their local Fresno and Visalia communities. According to the release, they also included employees in the event and hid envelopes with gift cards at their two campuses in the Fresno area, encouraging employees to look for “pots of orange.”
The Peelz team included members from the sales and marketing department, and together they dispersed more than 500 envelopes across 20 retail stores. Community members who came across the orange envelopes or the Peelz team were encouraged to share their experiences on social media.
