Summer Citrus from South Africa Kicks Off 2023 Season; Suhanra Conradie Comments
SOUTH AFRICA - This season marks a special milestone for Summer Citrus from South Africa (SCSA) as the exporter celebrates its 25th year. To honor those who have helped grow the program to success, the company hosted a small function to give them a special thank you.
“We are selling the world's finest summer citrus, and every single person who contributes to our process is a huge part of our success as we ship to the most challenging market in the world,” said Suhanra Conradie, Chief Executive Officer.
For the past 25 seasons, SCSA has worked as a unified entity to manage the moving parts of the export process, the company said in its newsletter.
In this time, the program has grown to be almost two and half times its original size with the help of its service providers, including exporters, supply chain management, cold storage, shipping lines, bilateral groups, the USDA, and the South African Department of Agriculture.
“I love to refer to this group as the ‘Dream Team’ because all of the small pieces of the puzzle need to be put together to execute this program,” added Conradie. “If you are familiar with the U.S. Olympic Dream Team, you’ll understand why! We all check our egos at the door to ensure we are providing the best service and product to our customers!”
Cheers to SCSA and this milestone season!
